Agent-to-Agent Property Portal, UK

The story

A UK company works for estate agents. In 2024 it wanted a portal where agents share listings with each other. An agent buys a plan and lists properties, and other agents find those properties for their own buyers.

The search was the heart of it. An agent arrives with a buyer in mind, and the portal has to match that buyer with what other agents’ sellers can offer. So the search looks at location, price, property type and the number of bedrooms. It also matches any special requirement the buyer has against what a seller can offer.

We built the portal in custom PHP and WordPress, starting from a theme that we used as a template, and wrote the search algorithm ourselves.

What we built

• A peer-to-peer portal for estate agents, in custom PHP and WordPress.
• A search algorithm that matches on location, price, property type and bedrooms, plus any special requirements.
• Localisation and property marking on the listings.
• Paid plans that agents buy before they list properties.
