Women’s and Kids’ Clothing Exporter, Delhi

The story

A New Delhi exporter makes women’s and children’s clothing, mostly for buyers in Japan and Europe. In 2015 a quote for a buyer took it two weeks to prepare.

The costing was the slow part. Much of the production goes out as job work, so each style’s cost depends on its bill of materials and the job work it needs. Costs, bills and receivables also come in more than one currency.

We implemented Soft.e Core, our ERP, for 15 users and built the exporter’s way of costing into it. Job-work costing now runs on the bill of materials, and every figure converts between currencies.

A quote that used to take two weeks now takes four to eight hours.
