Auto Parts Trader, Bihar

The story

A Bihar auto parts trader runs four branches, with five people on its system. In 2013 its staff kept track of where each order stood from memory.

An order can take several routes. The parts might be manufactured, bought in or picked from the warehouse, and then they are packed and supplied. The trader wanted billing, inventory, purchase and accounts, and above all it wanted to follow each order from the moment it is placed until the parts go out.

We built order processing that records each order end to end, along whichever route it takes. Sales, receivable, purchase and payable entries now post automatically, so staff no longer key them in by hand. Every order has a trail that anyone in the four branches can check.
